THE LATEST WITH CARTER...........

Poor little guy is home sick today with diarrhea.  He is now 19 months and into everything.  He's so funny because he's quiet and sneaky about it.  I think he knows that Caroline requires lots of attention and he's using it to his advantage.  At his 18 month appointment, he weighed 22 pounds 10 ounces and was 30 inches.  That puts him at the 25th % for height and weight.  He's got some growing to do to become a linebacker.  Haha!!  He's not talking much yet.  (at least talking to where we understand him, he talks plenty)  He moved up to the 2's class and eats at a table and sleeps on a cot.  He had no problems making the change.  I'm so glad he's in the class with Catch now!!  I've been so bad at updates that I forget what he's doing new without looking back at old posts.  His animal sounds are all growls no matter what the animal.  We are working on that.  He won't talk so he has been screaming when he wants something so I taught him to clasp his hands in front of his heart for "please".  It's so cute.  He understands everything we say.  He is still great at taking naps.  He is running all over the house and is very coordinated.  He tries to do everything Caroline does.  He loves her so much.  Everywhere we are he blows kisses.  He gives hugs all the time too.  He is still the most loveable little guy.  He loves trucks.  He has 2 dump trucks that he pushes all over the house. I love watching him and Caroline chasing each other with the trucks.  He loves to brush his teeth now.  No more holding him down to do it.  He likes the baby stroller too. He absolutely loves toilet paper.  I find it EVERYWHERE!!!  Of course I can't keep him out of it because he can open doors.

HE LOVES TO GET INTO THE CAT FOOD!!!
HE ESPECIALLY LOVES TO DO THIS RIGHT AFTER VACUUMING!!
SO CUTE IN HIS SWEATER AND JEANS

CARTER LOVE TOILET PAPER
LOVING TO CLIMB.  YIKES!!
DOING A GREAT JOB WITH HIS FORK!!
OOPS.  IT'S UPSIDE DOWN.
HE'S SAYING "CHEESE" HERE.
LOVES TO PUSH THE STROLLER
MESSY MESSY!!
WHAT A TEAM!!  EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE CAN NOW OPEN DOORS.  FUN STUFF!!
MESSY AGAIN!!!
WE LOVE YOU CARDS!!!

THE UPDATE ON THE NUK.

Well I cried a lot over the nuk, actually a lot more than Caroline did.  When it came time to tie the nuk to the balloons, she just watched and then was really excited watching them fly off.  I think she even said it was amazing.  I look awful in the pictures like it was my nuk or something.  She did really well afterward.  I gave her a big Christmas princess book that I was going to wait until next Christmas to give to her, but thought now would be better.  One time that evening she cried about it for about 10 minutes.  At bedtime she only asked for it once, but didn't get upset.  It did take her two hours to go to sleep, but not because of the nuk.  She only mentioned it once last night without getting upset.  We just keep emphasizing how proud we are of her and she smiles and says yes like she is too.  She did throw a little jab at me yesterday morning.  We found a bow we had not seen in a while and I said oh wow I haven't seen this in a long time and she said back, "Oh Momma did you think you sent it away like my nuk?"  Haha.  Funny girl.  She has not even mentioned the nuk today.  I'm so proud of my not baby anymore!!!  (no she's still my baby, always)

I told you I look more traumatized than she does.
Reading her new princess book.

NEW YEAR.............

Well we are embarking upon a new year and I have many resolutions as usual, but my main one is to just enjoy the small things.  This leads me to mention my most favorite blog.  Here is a link to it..........................
ENJOYING THE SMALL THINGS
I can't wait to see if she has posted everyday.  Every post makes me cry for a multitude of reasons, but they all make me want to be a better person and mother.
Kelle is a young thirties mother with 2 beautiful daughters, a wonderful husband, two stepsons from her husband that she loves dearly, a photographer, an amazing writer, and just an amazing person.  I would love to live my life more like her this new year.   I think we have a lot in common such as............ loving our babies and family like crazy, we both love to take pictures ( I think everyone that knows me thinks I'm just a little obsessed with taking pictures), loving to talk about our babies, love to meet new people and try new adventures, neither one of us are perfect housekeepers (we would much rather do something fun with our families than clean house), love to have a little wine from time to time, and love to enjoy and see the beauty in the small things.  Enjoying the Small Things is actually name of her blog.  A few things we don't have in common that I would love to become better at are photography, and becoming more positive.  She has been through so much the past year that I would never know about and manages to see the beauty in everything!!!  One of the biggest differences between us is that she is so good at expressing herself and feelings and I'm probably the worst.  Maybe if I'm happy, I just need to be happy and if I'm sad, just be sad and don't try to hold back anything, especially love!!!!!!!!  Now that I do 2 blogs, I should be a little more expressive and quit worrying so much.  I don't know if she would ever read this (because she has over 9,000 followers), but I just want anyone that reads my blog to know how amazing her blog is and shouldn't be passed up.  Happy New Year!!!  This is going to be a wonderful year!!!

BYE BYE NUK...........

Jeremiah and Caroline just left to get balloons to send her Nuk away.  I just want to bawl.  I don't know why this is so rough, but it is.  All through breakfast she tried to talk me into waiting until she turned 5.  Her face was so sad as she talked about it.  Breaking her of breastfeeding, bottles, and getting her to go to sleep never seemed this hard.  Maybe it's because she's so attached to her Nuk.  I mean she really loves it like it's her family.  Oh my.  I have to keep taking breaks from typing to wipe my tears right now.  I feel like my baby is really going to be gone after this.  I just pray that she doesn't get too up set when it flies off to Nuk Heaven.  I don't think I can take it!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY..........

Christmas day was a good day.  We woke up around 8:30 and Caroline and Carter opened their Santa gifts.  Carter got a BIG John Deere dump truck and some socks and underwear in his stocking.  Caroline got a big Belle doll along with the days of the week underwear and some socks in her stocking.  We spent the day playing with all the new toys and baking for Nanno and Papa's Christmas later in the day.  It was a wonderful Christmas, but it felt a little lonely and quiet.  Mimsy and Kaci have been here the past two years and it was a little sad without them, but I'm glad they got to be with Kelli for Christmas.  Caroline and Carter got lots of more presents from the Christmas night party.  A week later and we still haven't been able to play with everything yet!!!  Here are the pictures..............
Looks like Santa came!!!  Only a crumb left!!!
In action!!!
He loves it!!
So does Caroline!!!!!!!!!!
They did this all day.  What fun they are!!!!!!!!!
New undies!!!!
Yes.  He can open all the doors now.  Woo hoo!!!
New socks and pj's.
Jumping on the bed.......... So happy!!!
We didn't get any pictures from Nanno and Papa's because we were kid chasing.  The opening of the presents took a loooooong time so Caroline and Carter ran around while the others opened gifts.  No time for picture taking!!!  Haha!!
Merry Christmas!!
