GOING TO SEE TWILA

Our poor, sweet cousin Twila has been so sick. She's having major complications from a surgery a couple of months ago. I think too much of her intestines were removed with her scar tissue. She can hardly keep any food down and is so weak. We just have to keep praying that she gets stronger. She is just one of the best people I know and I don't know what Mark would do without her!!! Caroline got to go see her in the hospital with Mimsy. She was so excited to go and Mimsy said she did great and Twila was so glad to see her. Twila even sent her home with a Hello Kitty coloring book. After the hospital visit, Mimsy took Caroline to UncledaDonalds. Here are some pics we took before they left.

LOVING PJ TIME!!!

With the cooler nights, Carter has been sleeping in his pajamas since having a blanket on him all night still makes me nervous. He's the one that hardly moves though. He's usually in the same spot as where I put down the night before. Caroline is a different story!!! I put Carter in his PJ's the other night and Caroline decided to put on hers so they could match. There is nothing cuter than babies in PJ's. I know I'm still calling them babies. I'm sure they're going to love this when they're teenagers!! Oh well.....

TRIP TO THE MALL,,,, I MEAN TRIPS. (PLURAL)

We went to the mall several times while Mims was here.  Now I know why I don't come alone with the kids very often.  We were exhausted every time we left.  We visited lots of stores, but the bookstore was the favorite.  Carter went crazy in there.  He loved it!!!  I think he rearranged the shelves several times.

I don't think his Daddy is too happy with him getting into My Little Pony books!!! (He would notice that wouldn't he.) But, the Human Body is what I think he was after!!!

On gymnastics night we went to Cheesecake factory and then back to the mall.  It was such a nice night to eat outside.  Caroline was a little bothered by the outdoor heaters.

LAST THURSDAY...... A BIG DAY!!! (A couple of Thursdays now)

Thursday was a fun and busy day.  We got up, had breakfast and went to the Verizon store, Petsmart, Children's Place, and Target.  We went to Verizon because something strange was going on with Mimsy's phone where we couldn't talk to her on her entire drive here.  We could only text.  I ended up getting a Droid phone for $50 somehow.  Our Verizon guy said he had never seen anyone walk out of the store with a deal like that!!!  And...............  our bill is going to be cheaper!!!  We weren't even using half of our minutes so we downgraded our plan.  I was a little overwhelmed with the new high tech phone, but now I'm LOVING it!!!  After all of this, we went home to rest before Jeremiah's game.  Papa called and asked us all to go to dinner with them for my birthday.  We went to Chili's and then on to the game.  It was a great day!!!  (Except the loss on the game and Mimsy didn't feel well.)

MISSING MIMSY.....

Mimsy went home today and we are really missing her.  Caroline got mad at me when I sent her to the naughty chair for talking ugly to me and I could hear her saying she wanted Mimsy.  We had a such a great time with her.  It all started with her pulling into Joe and Sharon's driveway on the day she arrived.  Mimsy said Caroline ran outside, but got a strange look on her face when Mimsy got out of her car in their driveway.  Haha!!!!  Poor tired Mims!!!!!  She really must have made it here in record time!!!  Scout came too. He is just the most special dog there is.  He looks and moves better than he has in years.  Caroline and Carter were pretty in love with him!!!!  We had such a fun time.  We went to Target, the mall, out to eat with Nanno and Papa, to Daddy's football game, gymnastics, Caroline's recital, pumpkin patch, to visit Twyla, Cheesecake Factory, Zumba (yes.  Mimsy did Zumba!!!),  many many walks (minus me on this part), and just hung out at home with lots and lots of playing!!!!  (let me know if I left anything out Mims)  Carter did have a little accident though.  When they were out walking, Carter leaned forward in the stroller and fell out while Mimsy and Caroline were looking for cats on Kitty Cat Road.  Poor Mimsy felt awful, but it almost happened to me just a couple of days before.  It's not even a week later and Carter is pretty much all healed up!!!  He just looks like the little boy he is becoming!!!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: PEEKING AROUND THE CORNER...... SO SWEET!!

ALL CAUGHT UP NOW?....................

Last weekend started out great.  On Friday evening we went to Jeremiah's game.  They won big against Putnam City who was undefeated up to this game.  It was a wild game as far as the game went and as far as keeping up with Caroline and Carter went.  Thank goodness Nanno and Papa were there to help.

On Saturday, we went over to Erin and Rusty's to watch the OU/Texas game.  OU won even though they cut it pretty close at the end.  Caroline and Carter had a great time playing with Catch and I loved getting to hold baby Kelli.  It had been a long time. I'll post pics soon from this.   

On Sunday, we woke up, had Jeremiah's french toast, and then hung out at the house the rest of the day while he was at football.  We had to play outside with the weather so nice and fall-like................

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: HOPSCOTCH & BUGS

LAST OF SEPTEMBER.... CATCHING UP

I really don't know where to start because if I go too long without blogging, I forget.  I've got to do better because I really don't want to forget any of my special times with my sweet babies.  I guess 2 words come to mind when I think of the past few weeks.....  sickness and football.  First Carter had and ear infection, so he was put on some strong antibiotics for 10 days on the 17th.  Then on the next Thursday, Caroline went in for having a high fever.  She had strep or a tonsil infection and got put on the same antibiotic as Carter.  On that Saturday, my eye turned red and painful.  I thought I could have possibly have had a contact stuck in it, but it turned out to be a possible infection.  We're all better now (except maybe Carter, runny nose and cough) (poor thing always has something.)  We've had Jeremiah's games to watch (2 have been on TV,  those are real nice!!) and we've had plenty of college and pro games to watch.  I've been really busy at work getting ready for visits from examiners, getting lots of new students, and starting a work blog.  I also had a HUGE scentsy party thanks to my friend Kristy.  Mimsy will be here tomorrow night and we can't wait!!!!  Here are some picture collages I've put together of what we've been up to.  Of course I've kept up with my paparazzi-like behavior!!!
